Four Sensor TPMS-802C

How do you install the system?

Switch the monitor on by pressing and holding the minus button until the home screen appears. Install the 4 sensors. External sensors:  Screw the lock nut on the valve and then the sensor. Lock the sensor with the lock nut.  The position of each sensor will be indicated on the sensor. Internal sensors: Fit the sensor inside the tyre. The position of each sensor will be indicated on the sensor. It is important to note that if one or more of the tyres’ pressure is not displayed on the monitor, the wheels need to move and you will have to drive around the block.

How do you adjust the brightness?

When the monitor is displaying the home screen (screen displays the tyre pressure and temperature), pressing the + and – buttons will adjust the brightness of the screen.

How do you change the settings?

The last button on the side of the monitor is the setting button. Hold button in until the screen displays BAR/PSI. Using the + or – buttons go through the setting menu until you get to the option you want to change. If you want to change something tap the setting button once only. The option will start to flash.  The changes can then be made using the + and – buttons.  When changes have been made, tap the setting button once to accept changes. When you are done, hold the setting button in until the home screen appears. The tyre pressures will not show immediately. Drive around the block to activated the sensors.

How often do the sensors send data through to the monitor?

The sensors send information to the monitor when the pressure of the tyre change. It is important to know that the monitor will display the pressures last sent through. If the sensor is in sleep mode, the monitor will show the last pressure sent. The sensors will only send through new pressures once the wheels start to move.

 

Why is no pressure displayed when you go out of the settings menu ?

When you open the settings menu, the sensors will go into sleep mode and will only awake when the wheels start to turn. The monitor must be in or near the car for the sensors to send information to the monitor.

How does tyre rotation work for internal sensors?

When rotating the tyres you will have to change the position of the tyres. After rotating the wheels hold the setting button in until the screen displays BAR/PSI. Press the minus button once and the wheel position from 1 to 4 will be displayed. Tap the setting button once and the 1 will start to flash. Change the placement to where each wheel is now and when done tap settings button once. When all 4 wheels have been changed hold setting button in until the home screen is displayed.

Can the sensors be bought separately?

Yes, all sensors and monitors are sold separately.

Can the batteries in the sensors be replaced?

Yes, the batteries can be replaced on both internal and external sensors. We stock all batteries. The external sensors have a battery life of 2 – 3 years and the internal ones 4 – 5 years.

Does the monitor work when the solar panel is not in the sun?

Yes, the solar panel only keeps the internal battery charged. The monitor’s internal battery can be charged with a USB cable. The battery life of the monitor is displayed on the bottom in the centre of the home screen.

Are the sensors water and dust proof?

Yes, all sensors are water and dust proof. Water or dust has no effect on the sensors.

Do I need to switch off the monitor when I switch off the vehicle?

No, the monitor will go into sleep mode automatically.

Is the motorcycle monitor water and dust proof?

Yes, the motorcycle monitor is water and dust proof.

Can the batteries in the sensors be replaced?

Yes, the batteries can be replaced on the external sensors. We stock all batteries. The external sensors have a battery life of 2 – 3 years and internal sensors a battery life of 3 – 4 years. 

Does the Motorcycle Tyre Monitoring System work on tube and tubeless tyres?

Yes, the sensors works perfectly on tube and tubeless tyres. 

Does the monitor of the motorcycle or trailer TPMS switch off by itself?

Yes, the monitor stays on permanently and will go into sleep mode if there is no movement. 

Do I need to switch off the monitor when I switch off the vehicle?

No, the monitor will go into sleep mode automatically.

How do you install the system?

Can the monitor be set to only display 4 sensors?

Yes, to switch between 6 and 4 sensors hold setting Button until the screen display BAR/PSI. press the minus Button (-) once and the screen will show a 6. Press setting Button once and the car will start to flash. Press the minus and the screen will show a 4, press settings to except changes made. The monitor will now only display the 4 sensors on the car. Hold setting Button to return to home screen.
